TOTAL PRIZEMONEY GOES DOWN TO THE WIRE

Chris Waller will be doing his best to fight off Ciaron Maher’s team in his quest to retain the “prizemoney premiership,” with the two heavy-hitters going toe-to-toe on the final day of the 2023/24 racing season.

Waller has prepared the winners of 291 races nationwide for a total earnings of $51,610,300 so far this season, with the chance to add to both tallies today with 11 runners across five races at Warwick Farm. Meanwhile, his opponent Maher has already taken the crown for The National Trainers Premiership with 342 winners nationwide for a sweet stable earnings of $51,453,130.

Whilst earning $157,170 in a single day may sound like a monstrous task to us normal folk, it will be just another regular Wednesday in the office for the two stables.

Maher is still a chance to win the prizemoney title, with stable having a winner yesterday at Ballarat, followed by representation with 10 runners across all three states: three at Warwick Farm as well as six runners in five races at Sandown and Lamentum flying the flag at Doomben.
