The Fastest Man Ever

It’s under 20 days until the most electrifying event at the Olympics takes place, the Men’s 100m Final.

As we know, anything can happen at a major event, but if you’ve watched the recent Netflix Series ‘Sprint,’ from the creators of ‘Drive to Survive’ there are two blokes who look set to battle out it in Paris.

In the past 40 years, only two men have completed the 100m/200m double, Carl Lewis (1984) and Usain Bolt (2008). If you haven’t heard of Noah Lyles, that’s about to change!

Lyles is your typical rockstar sprinter, as we saw in ‘Sprint’ when he announced, “I’m the third fastest man in history, about to be the first. Every moment is made for me.”

He likes to dance, he likes to rap, he likes to rattle his opposition.

Lyles has dominated the 200m events for the past few years, breaking Michael Johnson’s long-standing record and then someone told him he couldn’t dominate the 100m at the same time, challenge accepted!

His main opposition is the Jamaican rocket Kishane Thompson ($2.10 fav 100m), who holds the fastest time this year (9.77) and is undefeated in four starts. That sets up for an epic showdown on the 5th of August!

Strap yourself in, things are going to get heated.
