Rising featherweight contender ‘Phar’ Jack Jenkins is champing at the bit to get back in the ring. Following almost a year on the sidelines after a nasty dislocated elbow. Jenkins is looking to make his return against Gavin Tucker, fighting at UFC 305 in Perth next month – wearing shorts inspired by the colt he part owns, Epimeles.
Jenkins, admits that getting signed by the UFC and winning on debut is hard to top as one of his favourite moments but not far behind was when the horse he has part ownership in, Epimeles won the Listed ANZAC Day stakes at Flemington for the Busutin-Young yard. The colt is currently a $15 chance in futures markets for the Caulfield Guineas
Prior to his career in the Octagon, Jenkins completed work experience in racing yards in Ballarat. Like most, the racing bug has stuck with him throughout his life with the featherweight reporting “Obviously I love my racing and could talk about it all day so to reflect that at a big event like UFC 305 would be huge,”.
