Unbeaten Tassie filly, GeeGee’s Mistruth, goes up against the big kids on the mainland this weekend.
GeeGee’s Mistruth makes the trip to Melbourne for trainer Stuart Gandy to tackle the Gr. 3 Quazette Stakes at Caulfield, with Ben Melham taking the ride.
Having won all of her four career starts, two being at Listed level in her native state, Gandy said they were running out of options, so testing her amongst some of the best would be the next logical step for the homebred filly.
“She’s a lovely filly, nice, big filly; she took all before her in Tassie through the two-year-old campaign,” he said.
“There’s not much here for a horse like her, so we thought she probably deserves to step up to the next level and see where she’s at.
“She trialled up really nicely the other day, and her work’s been solid, so we are really happy with her.
“She boats out today and should get in tomorrow morning all going well. Hopefully she can acquit herself well.”
