Amelia’s Jewel returned to the trials this morning for new trainers Annabel Neasham & Rob Archibald, with Tommy Berry taking the star mare quietly through her paces for an easy 2nd in the 900m heat.
The five-year-old will trial again before we see her at the races, with Neasham pondering the “Zaaki Formula”, with the filly likely to start her campaign off in the Tramway Stakes on September 7.
“She still looks a little bit round and she will tighten up for the trial,’’ she said.
“We’re learning about her all the time but she is very straightforward. She has come to us in fantastic order.”
