CUP HOPEFUL OUTED

Cup hopeful Mark Twain will be sidelined for the spring, with ownership group OTI releasing a disappointing statement this morning, announcing that the Kiwi has suffered a tendon injury.

The five-year-old gelding, trained by Roger James and owned by OTI Racing, secured a ballot-free entry to the Melbourne Cup with his Roy Higgins win in March. However, the injury has ruled him out of the spring altogether.
