WILL THEY SWIM IN THE SEINE?

The Paris Olympics have postponed the men’s triathlon at the eleventh hour due to water contamination in the Seine.

Although many athletes have claimed that they would swim through anything just to get a medal, the levels of E. coli have been declared too high to safely complete the swim leg of the race. The men’s event will now be held at 10:45 am local time, immediately after the women’s event at 8 am, should the water be deemed safe enough to swim.

Paris spent a reported $2.74 billion to try and clean up the Seine as part of the legacy component of this year’s Olympics, but due to two days of rainfall, the river has been contaminated with raw sewerage once again.

Racing X will be back tomorrow to update on whether the Aussies will be competing in Hazmat suits.
