The first foal out of Group 1 winning mare Invincibella, Mergeila, looks towards her first start this week with a double nom for the Kenso on Wednesday or Rosehill Saturday. Purchased by Yulong Investments at the Inglis Easter sale for $750,000 the filly will follow in her mother’s footsteps and be trained by team Waller. Despite not being asked for much in her trials she’s consistently found the line well. For a horse that is worth more than two McLarens – let’s hope she runs well.
Moody’s Million Dollar filly Kiribilli (Snitzel x Darling Point) looks to start in Saturday VRC Member Russell Dawson Plate (1000 METRES) off the back of just one trial with Moods himself in ownership with Fairway Thoroughbreds & Pete Cunningham.
Empress of Wonder makes her return – under the eye of new trainers Anthony and Sam Freedman. The former Neasham-trained filly was once a Magic Millions hopeful but has seen just 1 winners stall… at a Provincial Newcastle meeting. Although trained out of Flemington she has been Accepted to Race this Wednesday at Doomben and Nominated for this Saturday at Eagle Farm.
