Keep an eye on Kerguelen

Racing and breeding powerhouse Godolphin unleashed a 3yo called Kerguelen at Kembla Grange on Saturday. Having his first start as a late 3yo suggests the son of champion sire Lonhro needed a lot of time to mature. James Cummings will take the impressive 9L winner through his grades. Expect him to be short odds wherever he shows up next!

According to Wikipieda, he is named after a group of Islands in the French Southern and Antarctic Lands. His dam (mother) Zeehan was named after a town in Tasmania, so they kept the theme going with another named after an island no one wants to go to. Just joking our Tassie friends.
